第三部曲：西貢小姐
一到了機場，越不想發生的事越是再度發生，是的，班機又延誤，而且班機表的螢幕上竟然還寫著我的班機取消，這下我可欲哭無淚，跑去跟越南航空交涉，過程十分不舒服，越航人員對於班機的延誤非但不覺得抱歉，甚至也沒有任何補償措施，只說不是我等五點的班機要不就是等原班班機到晚上六點，害怕「河內經驗」重蹈覆轍，我要求不管如何一定要讓我早一點搭上飛機，不想入夜後踏入另一個陌生的城市，又被計程車司機和飯店掮客如鯊魚群環伺，我要求幫我排別家航空公司，最後只有幫我排一個越南太平洋航空，而越南太平洋航空沒有包含供餐，二個小時的飛行一路真是氣到最高點。

第二部曲：早安越南
由於班機延誤一個小時，二個小時的飛行到達越南首都河內已經晚上九點，我此次旅行犯的最大錯誤就是沒有事先訂河內的飯店，以為按照旅遊書上寫的，可以找到越南航空所提供的mini bus到達河內市區，然後再來找飯店。Hoi Bai機場到河內市區也要四五十分鐘的車程，書上說只要USD 2。不過一通關入境出了機場大門，這麼陌生的地方要馬上找到公車站牌，實在不是一件容易的事，不過確實有一些Mini bus在招攬生意，許多越南人也跳上了巴士，我一往前交涉，對方並沒有馬上辨識我是個外國人，反而劈哩啪啦跟我說越文，惹得我一頭霧水，只好扯破自己偽裝越南妹的外衣，用英文問他是不是要到河內市區。一位穿著襯衫帥帥的男生回答說是，要美金五元，要我坐在前座，後座的全都是越南人。

第一部曲：前進高棉
跟我差不多歲數的人，大概對我的標題會有點概念，「前進高棉 Platoon」(1986年)和「早安越南Good Morning、Vietnam」(1987年)都是電影的名稱，前者提到高棉卻跟高棉完全沒相關(好吧，有關係，因為當時高棉為越南的屬地)，二部片其實都是描述美國干預南北越南內戰，美國支援南越，沒事就攻打越南十幾年殺了一堆人，之後才來拍電影來賺錢，壓霸又死要錢，真是個最噁爛的國家。而「西貢小姐」則是音樂劇，亦是描述越戰期間美麗的西貢小姐賣身給美國大兵，最後二人產生戀情，但是越戰結束美國大兵拍拍屁股回家去，西貢小姐傷心欲絕舉槍自盡。

Tonight is the last night in Saigon. Kind of sick of pretending Miss Saigon, I am ready to head home tomorrow.
Vietnam is such a fascianting country. Can you imagine that 70% of population is aged under 30 years old? It means that these young generations don't have parents around them as many of their parents got killed in the Vietnam war 30 years ago. And now all they want is nothing but money. Well、I can't blame the motorbike drivers for trying to play a scam on me all the time、can't I? They just want to survive the poverty and poor condition in life.

Here I am in Saigon. Simply I can disguise myself as a Vietnamese. Yet, once I shake my head with question marks on my face, the locals just realize that I am an alien.
First,I would say. Vietnam airlines is crap. The flight from Siem Reap to Hanoi was one-hour late. Then the flight from Hanoi to Saigon was delayed for 3 or 4 hours. I was furious. I just hate to arrive in a new city at night. Anyway, not having any compensation, I got one crap coffee and changed my flight to the cheap Pacific Airlines. I was still late for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Still, I arrived in Saigon in the evening. Trying to catch a bus but in vain, I just hopped on a motorcycle and immerged into the streams of motorcycles. But surprisingly, Saigon is much modern and vivid, while Hanoi looks old and dirty. Those roads in Hanoi are narrow and busy. The streets in Saigon are wider and allow more motorcycles. Didn't get a room at Miss Loi Hotel. A sweet Vietnamese girl walking out of Miss Loi Hotel found me another quiet room next to Miss Loi hostel, 10 us dollars a day, very clean with hot water and air conditioning. Now I feel much better.

Here I am in Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. Well, The first night I arrived in Hanoi was horrible. First, the flight was one hour late. By the time I got to the airport in Hanoi, it was 9 p.m. Not knowing where to catch a bus to the city center, I jumped onto a mini bus as the bus driver told me that they were going to the city. I told the driver exactly which hotel that I wanted. In the end they just dropped me another hotel telling me that the hotel I mentioned was all booked up. So they took me to a shit hole saying that I can stay there for only one night because it is New Year time and all the hotels were booked up. Well, I don't beleive their crap. I dragged my luggage looking for another hotel. Anyway, I managed to find a hotel to stay. Funny thing is that it is the hotel that I just wanted to stay. So I am still alive here using the computer offered by the hotel.
The busy traffic and the horrible noise on the streets just woke me up at 5 in the early morning. The local people ride their motobikes like crazy. Didn't feel happy about that, though.

Yes, at the moment I am in Siem Reap, Cambodia sitting at an internet cafe writing this little message to you.
I am safe and sound now. The weather is wonderful. People here are friendly though they look poor. So far I am quite content about what I have seen and what I have been through.
